I am pleased to
inform you all that I will complete my assignment in Hong Kong and return
to Japan on May 26, 2026.
My journey in Hong
Kong began in April 2019, following sixteen (16) years in Atlanta,
Georgia, U.S.A. (1998〜2005 & 2009〜18) and one year in Japan
(2018〜19). Altogether, I have spent twenty-three (23) years living
outside of Japan with my family, in both the United States and Hong Kong.
Our daughter and
son were both born in Atlanta and are now 21 and 16, respectively. They
are enjoying their college and high school life in Japan after completing
their studies in the U.S.A. and Hong Kong. I am especially grateful for my
wife's unwavering support throughout these years.
I have devoted
thirty-four (34) years of my professional career to international business and
expanding our sales across global markets. I take pride in these
accomplishments and carry no regrets. I have been fortunate to work with
outstanding colleagues, valued customers, trusted vendors, and many others
with whom I have had the privilege to collaborate.
On June 1, 2026, I
will return to the headquarters near Tokyo for a new assignment. Having
been away from Japan for so many years, I do feel some concern about how
quickly I can readjust to the new life and environment, but I look forward
to the new challenge with optimism.
Life is short. At
my age, as I return to Japan, I will take time to carefully chart a
meaningful course for the future.
